미국의 가수 겸 배우. 1930년대부터 1960년대까지 활동하며 뛰어난 노래와 연기 실력으로 뮤지컬 영화의 발전에 기여했다. 대표곡으로 <오버 더 레인보우(Over The Rainbow)>(1939), 대표영화로 《오즈의 마법사(The Wizard Of Oz)》(1939), 《스타 탄생(A Star Is Born)》(1954) 등이 있다
